GREEN TOMATO SUBZI (Thakali kai kootu)

RM 2 Day 2



Ingredients

Raw tomato( Green tamato)- 5 -6 ea

Moond dhal- 1 cup(cooked)

Coconut- 2 tbsp( grated)

G.chillies-2 -3 ea (ACC to taste)

Oil- 2 tsp

Mustard seed- 1 tsp

Urad dhal- 1 tsp

Curry leaves- 1 sprig

Method

Preheat pan add chopped raw tomato with water, to cook until done.

After cooked moong dhal & mix well.

Blend coconut with chilli & grind to a fine paste.

Add in the coconut paste to the moong dhal & tomato & simmer well.

Temper with mustard seed, urad dhal & curry leaves.

Serve with rice, chappathi or rotis.

Seems to be a real healthy one. Never got the opportunity to cook raw tomatoes still.

This kootu tastes nice even without coconut. just toamto, dal green chillies and he seasonings. Try it and then tell me
