IDLY UPMA

Ingredients

Idly- 4 ea (click here for the recipe)
Oil- 1 tbsp
Mustard seed- 1 tsp
Urad dhal- 1 tsp
Curry leaves- 1 sprig
Ginger- 1 tsp(grated)
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
G.chillies- 1 tsp
Tomato- 1 ea(chopped)
Carrot-1 ea(grated)

Method

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed, urad dhal,g.chillies,ginger,curry leaves & saute few mins.

Add onion, tomato, grated carrot,turmeric powder & saute few mins.

Add the scrambled idly & check the seasoning.

Garnish with cilantro & Serve hot with any kind of chutney.

aaha.. pasikardhe idha paatha.. super. nanna iruku paaka. we do in a diff way.. we mix milagai podi with crumbled idly and do the tampering.

We make it like this too but without carrots. I like this better than idlis themselves:) Yours looks nice!

My first time here :) beautiful blog love the fresh look u've given to it.
I love idly upma, loved ur version, my version is much simpler than this...(adding mustard ,curry leaves, red chillies,hing tempering. sprinkle grated coconut and salt to taste to the scrambled idlis)Thanks for the wonderful recipe.
