PEANUT CHUTNEY

Ingredients

Peanut-1 cup(I used raw peanut)
Shallots -4 or 5 ea
Garlic-3 or 4 cloves
Red chilli (whole)-1 or 2 ea(Acc to taste)
Oil-2 tsp
Mustard seed-1 tsp
Urad dhal-1 tsp
Salt- to taste
Curry leves-1 sprig
Tamarind- very small quantity

Method

Heat oil in a pan, add shallots,garlic, peanut ,Red chilles & saute few mins.
Grind well with tamarind & salt.
For tempering, heat oil in a pan add mustard seed, urad dhal ,Curry leaves & add to the chutney.
Serve with Idly or Dosa Or Paratha or poori Or roti.

Hai srikar chutney looks yummy.I know it tastes good.Saturday only i prepare ravva dosa and peanut chutey.Its very nice.

nice recipe for peanut chutney.. frying onions, garlic is new to me. i usually make peanut chutney like coconut chutney. this one sounds good.

I also add fried onions to the peanut chutney sometimes which adds to the taste...Next time i will add garlic as well.

I love peanut chutney too, great with idlis and dosais, yummm!
nice preparartion to bookmark, the addition of shallots (is new to me)gives it a nice pale color :)will keep that in mind when I do it next time :)
