KALI-THIRUVATHIRAI KALI

Ingredients
Raw rice-2 cups
Moong dhal-2 tbsp
Jaggery-3 cups(as per ur taste)
Cardamon-4 ea
Ghee-2 tbsp
Grated coconut-1 cup
Cashew nut-3 tbsp
Chopped coconut-2 tbsp(optional)
Method
In 4 cups of water , dissolve jaggery & stain.
Boil the jaggery water with cardamon pods.
Dry roast separately rice until brown & blennd it into a coarse powder.
Add grated coconut,moong dhal, coarse blended rice in the jaggery liquid & allow to cook until done.
Heat ghee in a pan, add cashew nuts, chopped coconut roast until golden brown & add to the Kali.

WOOW,,Sri!!! kali looks yummy dear this is my faaav one my amma use to make this one nombhu ...its been long time pa i had this sweet...really yummy one dear... some traditional sweets can't comparable to newly came sweets...Sri!! thanks for the reply for karuvepilai paste am gonna do that paste today dear,,i was thinking what to do with that curry leaves i got cos our friend gave a bag full of leaves,,so am gonna make a paste and store it in the fridge,,,
